The coal storage shed of the North freight yard has one building layer, 18.9 meters in height, 800.0 meters (along the rail) × 45.0 meters (vertical rail) in axis dimension, with a construction area of 36,000 square meters. It is arranged in the shape of “one” along the rail. As a closed coal storage shed that is more important in the national railway system, the shed has a large single volume, with a consumption of 20,000 cubic meters of concrete, 2,700 tons of steel bars, and 2,100 tons of steel components.

Faced with the difficulties of large roof space frame assembly area, high installation accuracy requirements, and high safety risks of high-altitude operations, the project department carefully organized and standardized management, and comprehensively conducted program and technical disclosure and safety training for construction personnel.From project schedule arrangement to construction process inspection，structural component quality control, and safety risk inspection, the implementation and inspection at every level ensured the smooth hoisting of the first-span space frame and laid a solid foundation for the orderly development of subsequent project construction.
