The construction period of the space frame structure is in the rainy season. Due to the rush to the finish period, the fireproof coating is not fully dried then turn into the next process, which makes the water degree of the fireproof paint exceed the standard, and the adhesion between the intermediate paint and the top paint cannot reach product and design requirements, the phenomenon of hollowing and paint peeling occurred in the later stage.
If there is abundant rainfall in the area of the space frame located, and the rainwater is more acidic, when the roof is aging and damaged, acid rain erosion and solar rain will aggravate the problems of the surface paint and fireproof paint of the space frame, hollowing and paint stripping.
Insufficient attention was paid to maintenance during the period of use, and effective measures were not studied and taken to prevent large-area hollowing and peeling of topcoat and fire-resistant paint during the initial stage of hollowing and paint stripping of the space frame structure.
