When brushing the surface paint on the space frame, it is necessary to brush more and more, the oil should not flow or fall, full and even, the colour is bright and consistent. Check-in time after painting to avoid missing the brush. The topcoat of the space frame usually needs to be brushed twice or more, with a thickness of 70 microns.
1. Brush painting process of the space frame: base surface cleaning → primer painting → top coat painting → inspection and acceptance
2. Substrate cleaning.
2.1 The painting and coating of the building steel structure project should be carried out after the steel structure is installed and accepted. Before painting, the area to be painted should be cleaned of rust, weld skin, welding spatters, oil, dust and other debris.
2.2 The quality of the base surface cleaning and rust removal is directly related to the quality of the coating.
2.3 Manual rust removal is done by hand with some scrapers, grinding wheels, emery cloths and steel wire brush tools to remove the rust from the steel components.
3.Space frame primer coating.
3,1 Space frame.1 Blend red-dan anti-rust paint, control the viscosity, consistency and thinness of the paint, and blend the system with sufficient stirring to make the paint colour and viscosity even and consistent.
3.2 The direction of the painting should be consistent when brushing the first layer of primer, with a neat catch.
3.3 The principle of diligent dipping and short brushing should be adopted when brushing to prevent the brush from falling down with too much paint.
3.4 After the first coat, a certain time gap should be maintained to prevent the second coat from being applied before the first coat has dried, as this will cause the paint to run and wrinkle and the quality to drop.
3.5 After the first coat has dried, brush the second coat. The direction of the second coat should be perpendicular to the direction of the first coat so that the thickness of the paint film will be uniform.
3.6 It takes at least 4 to 8 hours for the primer to dry and the topcoat should not be applied before the surface is dry.
4 Topcoat application.
4.1 The topcoat should be of the same colour and should be mixed with the appropriate thinner material. The working viscosity and consistency should ensure that the paint does not drip or show brush lines when applied.
4.2 The topcoat should be stirred continuously during use, and the method and direction of application should be the same as for the above process.
5 Inspection and acceptance of the coating.
5.1 The painted workpiece should be protected from flying dust and other debris during and after the construction of the surface coating.
5.2 Inspection of the finish after painting should be consistent in colour, sharp and shiny, without wrinkles or lumps.
5.3 Determination of the thickness of the painted film, using a contact type paint film thickness gauge to determine the thickness of the paint film, the paint film thickness gauge generally determines the thickness of 3 points and takes the average value.
